Supplier’s Dues Paid Nine Years Later

A supplier was finally paid for goods and services rendered to the Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITI) in a case of inordinate delay, thanks to the intervention of the Commission.

Mr. Kenneth Adek of Sea Gate Enterprises complained to the Commission alleging a delay by KITI to pay for the supply and delivery of stationery and branding services undertaken on diverse dates from 2014 to 2016. He duly undertook the supplies and sought to be paid dues amounting to Kshs.733, 690 through his letter dated 7th February 2018. However, the institution was unresponsive to his claim leading him to seek the Commission’s intervention by lodging his complaint on 28th April 2023 at the Commission’s Desk at the Nakuru Huduma Centre.

The Commission by way of inquiry took up the matter with the Director, KITI leading to processing and payment to the supplier.
