Fire Safety Advisor Certificate Issued Following Ombudsman Intervention

 “I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the prompt attention and resolution of my complaint. I reported the matter on 4th August 2025 and the same was resolved within 45 minutes. You may now close the complaint.”

These were the words of a complainant in a thank you letter to the Commission.

The Commission received an anonymous complaint from the complainant alleging the inordinate delay by the Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety Services in processing the renewal of his Fire Safety Advisor Certificate, thereby denying him an opportunity to earn. According to the complainant, he applied for the renewal on 4th July 2025 following the expiry of his certificate on 30th June 2025.

The Commission took up the matter with the Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety Services, leading to the issuance of the Fire Safety Advisor Certificate.
