ICGLR Meeting on 20th December 2021

The Chairperson Today Attended A Virtual Advocacy Meeting Organized By The Office Of The UN Special Envoy And The International Conference Of The Great Lakes Region. The Advocacy Engagement Was With The Great Lakes Regional Parliamentarian Forum Chaired By Hon. Senator Kenneth Lusaka The Speaker Of Senate Of The Republic Of Kenya. The Engagement Was Meant To Highlight How ICGLR Can Leverage On The Regional Parliamentary Forum In Light Of The Role Of Parliament In The Fight Against Sexual And Gender-Based Violence And The Promotion Of Women’s Effective Participation In Political Processes A Former Parliamentary Women Representative In Kenya. The Chairperson Was Instrumental In The Organization Of The Meeting Having Reached Out And Met The Senate Speaker On 11th November 2021 Who Committed To Facilitate, In Collaboration With The Office Of The Special Envoy Of The Secretary-General For The Great Lakes Region, Today’s Advocacy Meeting With The Regional Parliamentarians.
